We’re going to start our weekly column, Divorce Book Club, to recommend books about divorce issues. Though you may have a great lawyer watching your back, it’s still important to get another perspective. Everyone’s case is different so you can’t go wrong arming yourself with more research.

As we can see from the way Heather Mills clawed tooth and nail to her $50 million settlement, divorce is alot about money. You may be fraught with emotions and uncertainty about the future, but it’s essential to wrap your head around the legal and financial realities of your divorce.

What this book does is to answer tough questions you may ask while wading through the myriad of financial concerns, like “how do you handle shared debts?”, “how do you avoid tax problems?”, “how do you strike a balance between alimony and child support?”

The Los Angeles Times gave Violet Woodhouse and Dale Fetherline’s Divorce & Money a great review, “An essential purchase for anyone contemplating a split, because financial decisions made during divorce can have such huge repercussions for both parties.”

If you’ve read this book before, do leave your own review in our comments section.
