According to an impending study by Washington & Lee University School of Law Prof. Robin Fretwell Wilson, women with MBAs have a higher chance of divorcing their spouses than men.
A lot has been made about women who choose their family life over their careers, so it’s interesting to see a study that focuses on the women who seem to place their work as priority over their husbands or having a family at all.
Wilson’s reason for such women not being able to fight marital fires successfully is: they “can’t summon up the TLC and support that high-earning men need”.
She also encourages highly educated women to look for loving, supportive men, as opposed to hitting on men who are power players like themselves.
Though it is an uncomfortable admission, it makes sobering sense: someone has to give in, women can’t have it all, and there needs to be a balance in a relationship.
